TOURISTS CONTINUE TO VISIT THE NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

By Our Correspondent, Ngorongoro - Tourists from various countries continue to tour the Ngorongoro Conservation Area peacefully, safely, and with great enthusiasm as they explore its diverse natural attractions.

Speaking at the main entrance gate of the conservation area, the Chief Conservation Officer for Tourism and Marketing Services, Mr Peter Makutian, said that throughout the period of Tanzania’s General Election up to November 5, 2025, approximately 1,200 tourists from different parts of the world have visited Ngorongoro and engaged in various tourism activities.
“Here in Ngorongoro, we continue to receive tourists even during this mid-season period, and we are confident that as we approach the festive season, the number of tourists will rise significantly,” said Makutian.

One of the tourists, Ms Isabella Jerónimol from Colombia, shared that she travelled to Tanzania with her family of 26 members, and Ngorongoro was their top choice because of its tranquillity, peace, hospitality, and the richness of its natural and cultural attractions.

Mr Dunstan Sospeter from Dar es Salaam, who was visiting with his family, expressed his excitement about the area’s safety and the unique experience of seeing diverse wildlife coexisting within the same ecosystem. He added that they also took the opportunity to visit Olduvai Gorge, the shifting sands, and the Ngorongoro Crater, describing the trip as both educational and unforgettable.
